Meet the staff at Duncan Golf & Tennis Club
Dakota Hicks, PGA, has been the General Manager and Head Golf Professional at Duncan Golf and Tennis Club since 2020. Before taking on this role, he served in various positions at the club, including Cart Services, Golf Shop Supervisor, and Assistant Golf Professional.
Originally from Marlow, OK, Dakota attended Murray State College, where he was a member of the golf team and studied business. His passion for the game ultimately led him to pursue a career in the golf industry.
Dakota has enjoyed a highly successful start to his professional career. He has earned back-to-back U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Instructor awards and has coached multiple championship-winning teams. His achievements include leading two boys' teams to state championships, coaching a girls' team to a state runner-up finish, and mentoring a girls' individual state champion. Many of his students have also gone on to earn collegiate golf scholarships. Others have begun their own careers in the golf industry.
As General Manager, Dakota has played an integral role in numerous facility improvements at Duncan Golf and Tennis Club. His leadership has overseen projects such as a complete clubhouse remodel, the installation of all-new bentgrass putting surfaces, and the construction of an indoor teaching facility.
Despite his professional accomplishments, Dakota's favorite role in life is being a husband to his wife, Megan, and a father to his daughters, Paicey and Evelynn.
Tyler Horn is our dedicated Assistant Golf Professional at Duncan Golf and Tennis Club. Having become a part of our team in June 2023, Tyler hails from San Antonio, TX. His journey in the world of golf began as a four-year Letterman at Smithson Valley High School, and he continued to nurture his passion by playing collegiate golf at Dodge City Community College and Newman University. Tyler's commitment extends beyond the golf course, as he is deeply engaged in the community and is a central figure in leading our programs.
Bryce Carr is our dedicated Assistant Golf Professional at Duncan Golf and Tennis Club. Having become a part of our team in July of 2024. Bryce is a Duncan native who was a four year letterman on the Demon golf team. His deep love for the game of golf and his community inspired Bryce to begin his professional career in the golf business where it all began. Bryce's commitment extends beyond the golf course, as he is deeply engaged in the community and is a central figure in leading our programs.
Brittany Condit is our Director of Membership and Accounts. Brittany joined our team in the Fall of 2024. In addition to new member boarding and accounting, Brittany also handles the coordination of all events held at Duncan Golf and Tennis Club. She takes tremendous pride in making your day at our club very special. Away from work Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and two children Presley & Cooper while also volunteering in her community and at her church.
Ed Hughes, GCSAA is our Golf Course Superintendent. Ed a native of Elk City spent twenty years as Superintendent at the country club at Elk City before his latest position as superintendent of Oklahoma City’s 36-hole Lake Hefner Golf Club. Ed is widely respected and sought after for his prior work in our market. We are proud to have Ed leading our maintenance department and making our historic club beautiful!
